Frequently Asked Questions
How does AI Text Detector work?
Our detector uses advanced machine learning models to analyze linguistic patterns, statistical features, and contextual markers in text to determine if it was likely generated by an AI or written by a human.
How accurate is the detection?
Accuracy typically ranges from 85-95% depending on text type, length, and the specific AI model used to generate the content. Longer texts (200+ words) generally produce more reliable results.
What file formats are supported?
We support TXT, PDF, and DOCX files with a maximum size of 10 MB.
What is the maximum text length?
The maximum is 3000 words per check.
Do you store my submitted text?
No. By default, we do not store submitted text. Your content is analyzed in real-time and permanently deleted after the analysis is complete. We may store anonymized statistics if logging is enabled.
Is the detector free to use?
Yes, AI Text Detector is completely free. There are no hidden fees or premium versions.
Can I use this for academic integrity checking?
While our tool provides useful insights, it should not be the sole method for academic integrity verification. We recommend using it as one component of a comprehensive evaluation process. Always review content manually and consider context.
What are the limitations?
Detection is less reliable for very short texts (<50 words), translations, heavily edited AI content, or highly specialized technical writing. The tool works best with standard English prose.
